im looking for a way to navigate to recent files more easily.
im using fzf in yazi a lot, but it would be nicer if there was something like this neovim plugin which combines fuzzy search and recency

I’d like to see a plugin like that too. I even tried sketching something myself, but the truth is, zoxide already offers something very close. On top of that, Yazi has done such a great job integrating it that we can even update the zoxide database while using Yazi — see sxyazi/yazi#860 (comment). So, given the limited room for meaningful improvements, the idea of creating a separate plugin seems less compelling.

Zoxide doesn't support files which is pretty annoying

maybe more important - zoxide only shows paths from your history (you must cd to the path at least once before it shows it)
