database being duplicated with each GUI launch

Describe the bug
Each time i launch the GUI i notice that the number of transistors in the local database is doubling.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start the GUI
2. Close the GUI
3. Start the GUI again
4. Check the local database

Expected behavior
The database should be updated from the online version. Only none existing transistors in the local database should be added from the online version or the duplicated transistors should be removed automatically.
