Just ran the installer and got the warning:

THIS IS THE OLD VERSION OF PIMAME AND IS NOT SUPPORTED!!!!!!

Is there a new version I can use instead?

Hey Shea, thanks for the quick reply. I'm very new to Linux, and unclear by what you mean.

I'm following the original instructions:

git clone https://github.com/ssilverm/pimame_installer
cd pimame_installer
sudo ./install.sh

At which point the above error about the unsupported version came up. I'm running on the Raspberry Pi 2. I'm also downloading the piplay-0.8-beta8.IMG.zip on the side to see if I can get the OS installed and running that way.

As noted by @ssilverm in ssilverm#17
The installer has been updated on http://pimame.org/installer.sh, but not yet here on github.

Hello! I have a clean install of Raspbian.
I used the installer.sh. After reboot I get this image:
img_20150315_093808
In pimame directoty only found: controller-setup, dispmanx and emulators
What can I do?

@n1ghtstalker @ssilverm is saying there's a shell script at http://pimame.org/installer.sh that you can run instead. So you can run something like:

curl http://pimame.org/installer.sh | sh
