SSL error when using the app but connecting fine via Safari

When I try and connect to home assistant via the app I get an ‘SSL error’
The address I use is a duck dns address.
When I type this in the browser I can connect without problem, so why does it not work in the app?

Are you sure your SSL is correctly configured? Because in safari it allows to ignore the issues and continue but in the App it has to be correctly configured.

How do I check is the SSL is correctly configured?

I've tried using the actual ip address and it works in the app; it just doesn't work with duckdns (but works in Safari)

• Open safari
• Open incognito tab
• Use the duckdns url

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacations.
Your screen recording says "Not secure" before your duckdns URL, this means you have not configured SSL correctly and it wont work properly on the App

What does that mean? I don’t know what SSL means and where I need to configure it

When you try to access home assistant over “HTTPS” you need to have properly configured SSL, you can find many tutorials available explaining that.
