The feature, motivation and pitch

As far as I understand the timer inside MjData are not working in the python bindings. How do I enable these timers manually when building the bindings. Could we make the timers turned on by default in the default mujoco wheel?

In addition, would it be possible to add timers for plugins and sensors?
