Contextualise allows you to create as many (independent) topic maps as you want. Nevertheless, I have seen over time that I am using various informal mechanisms (e.g., a link in a topic note or in the topic text) to link the current map to other related maps. This could imply that I either should be using just one "super" map :) or that Contextualise needs a formal way to manage related (top-level) topic maps. I obviously opt for the second alternative :)

My current thinking is to use occurrences of type "topic-map" allowing you to link to another topic map (that is, the destination map) from any topic in the source topic map. These ocurrences could be separately displayed (apart from in the "topic resources" card in the topic view) to surface these inter-map connections.
