Linux Standard Base is probably a good starting point. It defines a list of libraries and versions (debian is probably use a version of this list.)

SDL, SDL_ttf, SDL_net, SDL_mixer, SDL_image, SDL_gfx and the same for SDL2.

As with #7 I think that we should take a look at linux Steam runtime, which would give a decent starting point. Personally I think SDL1.x stuff should be dropped from defaults in favour of SDL2 -- even when I'm aware a lot of stuff still uses old SDL1.2.

Besides the obvious eglibc-busybox/coreutils-stuff, SDL2, OpenAL, ogg/vorbis stuff, theora stuff, freetype, fontconfig, GLEW.

Dropping SDL 1.2 from the default firmware is stupid. SDL 2.0 has pretty horrible portability in comparison to SDL 1.2, so a lot of stuff will continue to use it.
