Unknown error occurred on publishing translation with external link

I started to translate the main wiki page in french but I have an issue with translation units which contain an external link.

I get the following error:

Publishing the translation failed: Unknown error occurred.

I quickly searched online and the only relevant result I could find is from 3 years ago and it does not have any answer 🙁 : https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Topic:W7bw8wbxduuvvd7k

By clicking "Show in wiki editor" and making edits there, I can finally add external links after answering a simple question.

I still encounter captcha protection when fixing the external link in https://wiki.nixos.org/wiki/Translations:NixOS_Wiki/3/ja.
